Students who could benefit from contact with the horses include children and adults with physical, emotional, and/or mental disabilities.

Research shows that individuals who participate in therapeutic riding can experience physical, emotional, and mental rewards. There is a special bond between horse and rider, which encourages unconditional love, trust, and self-worth. The purpose of Verity Therapeutic Riding and Educational Center, Inc. is to build character and confidence in challenged individuals of all ages.

We teach children and adults in small groups and individually. A PATH, Intl. certified instructor conducts the lesson that is designed for the specific needs of the rider. Lessons are held on a weekly basis and continue up to an hour depending on the student's stamina. During a lesson, the rider will be instructed on horsemanship, grooming, tacking, and mounted riding skills. The skills addressed each week are determined by the rider's abilities and the instructor's assessment of the rider.
